Höjeå gives the user a visual experience of how much water it uses with today's water source. 1. It fills up by pushing down the transparent cylinder on the top, making the water stream from the bottom. 2. When desired amount of water is collected, one has to release the cylinder to make the water come out.

The idea is to not be able to waste and collect water at the same time.

To even more enhance the feeling of the amount of water, the surface is rather flat so the water spreads in a bigger way than in a normal sink.
